A GOVERNOR’S TRIBALISTIC LIE IN NIGERIA AGAINST PETER OBI BACKFIRES

The evilest politicians in Nigeria are the crooks who clash the tribes and religions of Nigeria against one another. If I said this once, I said it a gazillion times! For instance, they are the reason why Boko Haram and other terrorist groups have destroyed Nigeria. It is a fact that all the terrorist groups in Nigeria today were born out of intolerance and hatred across tribes and religions. And we have the evil machinations of self-serving politicians to blame for this, meeeeeeeeen!!!

This blog is based on an evil plot of one such known destructively divisive politician, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State. It was October 16, 2022, during a political event in Kaduna city in northern Nigeria. The event was tagged “Arewa (northern) Joint Committee Interactive Session.” It was a forum to interrogate some Nigerian frontrunning presidential candidates on their ideas to save Nigeria if they win the presidency in 2023. That was where the conversation that I am presenting to you here on a video happened. The first part is by Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna State. He is not a presidential candidate. He was just a co-host of the event by the virtue of his being the governor of the state where it happened.

Several well-meaning northern Elder Statesmen, opinion leaders, and prominent politicians interrogated the invited presidential candidates to explain their plans to change Nigeria for the better. But when the divisive, ethno-religious bigot, Nasir El-Rufai mounted the podium, the story was different. He had to play his usual evil game of clashing Nigerians along religious and tribal lines. His primary interest was to solicit his northern kin to hate Peter Obi, who is a southern presidential candidate. But, as the Almighty God of righteousness would have it, El-Rufai’s evil plot against Obi backfired at him. Rather than get Obi to be hated by northerners, El-Rufai’s lies elevated Obi to shine like a star. El-Rufai stupidly, unwittingly confirmed Peter Obi as the revolutionary cross-tribal hero that Nigerian youths of all tribes have made him.

It’s time to watch the video.  The first part is El-Rufai’s evil lie against Peter Obi, and then Obi’s response follows. I will embellish my point for you after the video:

Now, you have heard El-Rufai’s evil divisive tribalistic lie against Obi. And you have heard Obi’s usual unifying, friendly, and detribalized response to the liar. I need to clarify something for my non-Nigerian audiences. Obi mentioned several names as his appointees and the police officers who worked with him as governor in southern Nigeria. All the names are El-Rufai’s northern kin. I’ll give you the pertinent point in Obi’s speech. It would have been difficult, if not impossible for Obi to get El-Rufai arrested in 2013, even if he wanted to! Why? Because we’re talking about Nigeria, with her criminally centralized police system, and extreme clannishness, that’s why! It would take a near-miracle for Obi to achieve what El-Rufai claims, and I’ll also tell you why, pronto!

(1) Obi is a southerner, from the unpopular Igbo tribe (putting it mildly). (2) And El-Rufai is a northerner, from the dominating Fulani tribe. (3) I have already said that Nigeria police system is criminally centralized and controlled by the president at the federal capital. (4) All the police officers who Obi mentioned in the police command in Anambra State when he was governor, were El-Rufai’s Hausa-Fulani kin. They were deployed from what I call the criminally centralized police system of Nigeria, which is controlled by the Fulani oligarchs in the federal capital city. (5) El-Rufai is a member of the oligarchy, or, at least, a favored Fulani in the corridor of power at the time.

So, it would be almost impossi-can’t for Obi to get El-Rufai arrested, especially not under the prevailing unserious circumstances or reasons then. My editorial continues, on the consistent efforts of some evil divisive politicians of the northern extraction in Nigeria. They insist on dividing and destroying Nigeria along tribal and religious lines, strictly for their own personal selfish gains. Objectivity-cum-Sincerity is the motto of No Bullshitting Blog (NBB), and I take it very seriously. Hence, I always try to balance my comments across sectional lines, in effort to avoid sounding biased against any section of Nigeria.

Surely, some southern Nigerian politicians do have their own brands of evil machinations, too. The good thing about the NBB motto is that I have abundance of past blogs that lambasted several evil southern politicians. So, nobody who is sincere can rightly accuse me of being biased along any sectional lines—neither religious, nor tribal—as too many Nigerians are! In fact, I presently have an issue with my southern Igbo tribe kin, Senator Ike Ekweremmadu. He was arrested in London, England, a few months back. He is still in detention, for alleged illegal human organ harvesting attempt. I have not lambasted him yet because I am yet to verify the accusations against him. But I can tell ya, he looks bad to me already, going by what I know so far. He apparently discussed such a serious matter of harvesting the kidney of a 25-year-old boy to save his daughter without involving the boy’s parents. If it’s true that Ekweremadu didn’t involve the boy’s parents, then, in my book, he is already guilty of an evil act. It wouldn’t matter to me how his legal case turns out; he would already be morally guilty. Year, I know, some people may argue that the boy is no longer a minor. My peculiar reasons and argument against this position are topic for another day.

So, yes, I always try to balance my treatises on the evil of Nigerian politicians across ethno-religious divides. And yes, some southern politicians have their own brands of evil machinations. But this time, I am talking about ethno-religious evil divisive machinations, which continues to destroy Nigeria. And it is on record that select northern Nigerian politicians are champions of this evil. For instance, Governor El-Rufai has long established himself as one of such evil northerners whose ethno-religious intolerance and hatred gave birth to terrorism in Nigeria. He has been named among those who imported their murderous Fulani thugs from outside Nigeria to rig elections, and they turned into terrorists. Now, sadly, my former hero, Atiku Abubakar, has proven himself to be another Fulani ethnic bigot. He has openly contradicted the façade that he has put up in the past as an ethno-religious unifier. Mind you, I am heading somewhere by mentioning Atiku here.

Um huh! I would bet that El-Rufai’s attempt to demonized Peter Obi of the Igbo tribe extraction is to favor his Fulani kin, Atiku Abubakar. El-Rufai is in the ruling APC political party. Bola Tinubu is the presidential candidate of El-Rufai’s APC. But I am willing to bet you anything that El-Rufai does not want his party to win the 2023 presidency because Tinubu is a southerner. El-Rufai’s Fulani kin, Atiku Abubakar, is the candidate of the opposition party, the PDP. But, most likely, the clannish El-Rufai wants Atiku of the opposition party to win the presidency. The Fulani oligarchy, which I consistently talked about in my blogs, is not interested in party loyalty. The loyalty of the oligarchs, among whom are El-Rufai and President Buhari, is always to their clan. I can bet you that Buhari himself does not want his APC party to win the 2023 presidency either.

Whatever support that El-Rufai and Buhari seem to be giving to Bola Tinubu in the name of APC party loyalty is all a façade, I always say! The Fulani oligarchs will never sincerely want power to shift to southern Nigeria, and I have always said why. Power shift to the south means loss of control by the Fulani oligarchy. But, hey, I have also always said that the quest for power control on its own is not necessarily a crime, as long as no law is broken. It is beginning to dawn on the oligarchs that Peter Obi is about to win the election, and they won’t stop at anything to stop him. Hopefully, El-Rufai and his kind will limit their efforts to antics such as this attempt to demonize Peter Obi. In my book, it is evil ethno-religious divisiveness, but it cannot be defined as lawlessness. On the other hand, Buhari prosecuted a military coup d’état in 1983 for the same purpose to retain power in the north. Now, that’s the unacceptable lawlessness that I speak of, and I hope that El-Rufai’s desperation will not get that far this time, meeeeeeeeen!!!

His evil game against Peter Obi backfired on him. Now that it has been proven to be a lie, his clannish and bigoted scheme turned Obi into a hero among El-Rufai’s own northern kin.
