Alleged N6.3bn fraud: Court acquits Jang, Yusuf Pam of criminal charges

Sen. Jonah Jang, a former governor of Plateau State, has been released and found not guilty of misappropriating N6.3 billion that belonged to the state by a Jos High Court.

Additionally, Mr. Yusuf Pam, a former cashier in the Plateau State Government’s Secretary’s office, has been discharged.

In other news, the Kwara State governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has been brought before the Federal High Court in Abuja by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In addition to asking for an order disqualifying the All Progressives Congress (APC) from fielding a candidate, its original summons submitted to Justice Inyang Ekwo included that request.

In a lawsuit filed by Paul Erokoro, SAN, the PDP requested that the court issue an order compelling the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remove Abdulrazaq from the ballot.
