THE MENACE OF NNAMDI KANU’S WRONG APPROACH TO A GREAT CAUSE

This is “No Bullshiting,” by Harry Agina.

Greetings, folks!

If I said it once, I said it a gazillion times that Nnamdi Kanu constituted himself into a menace, even though his cause is a great one. His approach to the Igbo struggle for liberation from Nigeria’s persecution is a huge threat to the lives of his followers. The fools that follow his command in the name of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) are unnecessarily dying. By extension, this unwholesome approach is also a huge threat to the lives of many Igbo people of Nigeria who are not even IPOB members.

I really don’t give a damn about the fools who follow Kanu like zombies as IPOB members. It’s their stupid choice to get themselves killed by Nigeria’s Security forces, who they challenge without weapons. My concern is when evil Nigerian soldiers go on rampage and massacre innocent Igbo persons who have nothing to do with IPOB, as they did in the past under one name or another. When “Operation Python Dance” happened, some innocent Igbo people were massacred along with scores of IPOB fools who challenged soldiers without guns. And, recently, rather than fish out the IPOB members who allegedly committed atrocities in Oyigbo Local Government Area (LGA) of Rivers State in Southsouth Nigeria, the soldiers indiscriminately victimized all Igbo people in the entire Oyigbo LGA.

There is no denying the fact that successive Nigerian governments have done untold evil to the Igbo race of Nigeria since the end of Nigeria’s civil war, otherwise known as Biafra war. Former President Obasanjo was sincere to confess this in 2019. There is also no question that the maltreatment of the Igbos has become far worse under the present President Buhari’s government. This is one of the reasons that many, indeed, a majority of Igbo people, believe that Buhari is an extreme ethno-religious bigot. And, he has special hatred for the Igbo nation. There is no question about the fact that majority of the Igbo race are presently sick and tired of the so-called “One Nigeria.” If this “marginalization” and persecution continues just a little longer, like Nnamdi Kanu, I’m among the Igbos who would vote to revive the defunct Biafra and go our separate way from Nigeria.

However, and a big however at that, a majority of responsible Igbo people disagree with Nnamdi Kanu’s irresponsible approach to the quest for Biafra. And, the reason to disagree with Kanu is very clear; he is getting too many Igbo people killed. He has become war-mongering in his approach. He seems to want to emulate my late uncle, Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu who led the Eastern region in the 1967 to 1970 Biafra war. Kanu is a hero like Ojukwu in a form. However, he fails woefully in emulating Ojukwu’s heroic qualities in his approach.

For one thing, Ojukwu was not a war-monger like Kanu. Ojukwu led the Biafra war only after all possible options of peace failed. His last effort was the Aburi peace conference, which was brokered in Aburi, Ghana, by the then Ghanian President, Ankrah. Every peace element was agreed upon by all parties. But when the then Nigeria’s military head of state, Yakubu Gowon, returned to Nigeria, he reneged on all the agreements that were reached in Aburi. He was incited by his Northern brethren to commit that evil act. In fact, Ojukwu still did not initiate the war; rather, the war was brought to the then Eastern region by the Nigerian forces.

Secondly, Ojukwu was a gallant soldier who personally led the war on various battle fronts. On the contrary, Nnamdi Kanu acted like a big coward. He incited some unarmed fools called IPOB members to challenge Nigeria soldiers, and ran away to safety at the first sound of a gun. He is still in his safety in faraway United Kingdom, and continues to “order” his zombies to commit mayhem, with many being killed. Yes, he orders them; I have listened to his radio broadcasts with the phrase, “…it is an order.”

Now to some specifics. As I started this blog, I listened to one of Nnamdi Kanu’s unacceptable broadcast on October 20, 2020. It is now on YouTube, “ordering” (as he put it) the foolish Igbo youths in his IPOB to “take down Nigeria military and police officers wherever you see them.” That is definitely unacceptable to anyone that want to pursue the quest for Biafra reasonably. I have the link for you at the end of this blog. The broadcast is long, but I have made it easy for you. Just scroll to @ 39th minute.

And, apparently, those zombies of IPOB actually obey Kanu’s “orders.” For instance, they allegedly went on rampage after security officers in Oyigbo LGA of Rivers State, allegedly killing four police officers and six soldiers. They hid under the guise of the #EndSARS protest by Nigerian youths, which was peaceful . It lasted twelve days all over Nigeria, until Nigeria government hired hooligans to disrupt it with atrocities. The government’s evil move was to discredit the most effective, well-organized protest against misrule that has happened in Nigeria in a very long time.

I imagine myself, for instance, being in Obigbo LGA during the recent evil Nigeria army raid. I disagree with Kanu’s irresponsible approach to a good cause, and yet, if I happened to be in Obigbo, I might also be killed by the soldiers for something that I totally disagree with, simply because the soldiers are zombies (according to the late Fela Anikilapo Kuti). They fail to spare innocent Igbos, and punish only the few guilty IPOB members who had attacked soldiers. This is totally unacceptable, and condemnable in any sane society, meeeeeeen!!!

I was inspired for this edition of “No Bullshitting” Blog (NBB) by a message that I read this morning. The writer blamed NBB hero-governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, for the raid of Oyigbo LGA by Nigeria Army. The pertinent questions here are: (1) Did Wike send Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB zombies to commit the alleged atrocities in Oyigbo LGA? (2) Did Wike deploy the soldiers to Oyigbo in response to Kanu’s boys acts? The common answer to both questions is ‘No.’ All that Wike did was to impose 24-hour curfew in order to curtail the alleged mad activities of IPOB, meeeeen!!!

I watched Governor Wike’s live broadcast couple of days back (Nov 2, 2020). He paid a total of N200 million to the widows of the four police and six army officers that IPOB zombies allegedly murdered. That was N20 million to each widow, on the same day of his broadcast. So, again, how is Wike responsible for anything, other than prompt goodhearted gesture to the widows, huh?

If the soldiers were not evil with impunity, they would try to identify and fish out the real culprits who killed their colleagues. If we had non-bigoted president, he would not permit them to commit the atrocity of victimizing innocent people in the entire Oyigbo LGA. Indeed, the person that is actually responsible for everything that happened in Oyigbo LGA is Mr. President. He caused Nnamdi Kanu’s acts, and, in his evil ethno-religious bigotry, he sent the soldier to massacre Igbo people, the guilty as well as the innocent one, meeeeeeeeen!!!

Finally, I must say that it is difficult for me to believe another message that I read today, which is attributed to Femi Fani Kayode (FFK). The message hails Nnamdi Kanu’s irresponsibility approach to the Biafra nation quest by most Igbos. In particular, FFK wrote: “The Nnamdi Kanu that I know can be impulsive and say some very harsh things atimes, but he is not a killer or a violent man.”

O yeah? So, Mr. FFK, who was it that I clearly heard on YouTube “ordering” his followers to attack and kill soldiers and police officers, huh? Who was it that threatened the life of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State in the same October 20, 2020 broadcast, huh? Kanu fails to understand that no Nigerian governor has the power to deploy Nigerian soldiers to any assignment, therefore, Governor Ikpeazu did not ask soldiers to kill IPOB members.

If indeed Kayode wrote that message, then he is either full of shit himself. Or, contrary to his claim that he knows Kanu, he is devoid of any knowledge about the man’s unacceptable declarations. Has FFK seen/heard some of Kanu’s recent broadcasts during and after the #EndSARS protest? And if he has, did he not understand Kanu’s language and contents? If FFK does understand Kanu’s irresponsible contents; are those what he defines, in his acclaimed wisdom, as non-violent? What school in the world taught him such fucked-up definition of non-violence? Does he not understand the fact that a man who incites a mob to kill people, is far worse than the idiotic mob that executes his command? Does he understand the fact that Kanu is directly responsible for the murder of six soldiers and four police officers in Oyigbo, if indeed IPOB members actually did it as alleged? Femi Fani Kayode needs to listen to Kanu’s broadcasts (if he has not) before describing him as a non-violent man. And, if FFK has listened to those violent broadcasts and still calls Kanu a great non-violent man, then he is a huge hypocrite, meeeen!!!

NBB’S NEW “INFOTAINMENT” BIT:

“Infotainment” means Informing while Entertaining the public/audience. The concept is based on the RESEARCHED FACT that the human mind tends to readily pay attention to, assimilate, and then respond favorably to a message when it is delivered with entertainment. So, I have decided to add some entertaining (music) flavor to “No Bullshitting” Blog, in effort to make you to look forward to the blog, if you love music.

Infotainment is easier to achieve with TV programs, where the ENTERTAINING element (such as music, or comic strip, or any other form) is built into the program itself. In this case of a blog, I can only give you my music entertainment either  as a prelude, an interlude, or a postlude (or a combination). I choose the postlude, giving you my entertainment at the end of the blog, as something to look forward to, as you hurry and read the blog in order to get to the music, especially if you happen to be a lover of “Lovers Rock” and “Roots Reggae,” as yours truly here is. I have oodles and oodles of them, and I said to myself, “Self, why don’t you share some of your stock with NBB fans.” As always, ‘I’ agree with ‘myself.’ So, here we go.

The music of the day is “Hard Drugs” by Gregory Isaac. Busy Signal also has his own rendition, which is very similar. I choose this song because it seems to me that Nnamdi Kanu is on hard drugs when he makes some of his pronouncements to his zombies of IPOB, such as his most recent broadcast to them to “attack” all police and military officers of Nigeria.

Here is “Hard Drugs” for your entertainment. It says that hard drugs are destroying many addicts, and, “the more they get it, is the more they want it.” And, after the music, you may click on the link to Kanu’s unacceptable broadcast of October 20, 2020.
